A Painter of Poems – Matthjis Maris
For the first time, the Burrell Collection is showing a selection of works by the Dutch artist Matthijs Maris (1839–1917). This has been drawn from the 44 paintings, drawings and etchings collected by Sir William Burrell – the most important group of Maris' work outside the Netherlands.
Peddlers of Pleasure – Mr Punch and His International Cousins
Launching the brand new Springburn Exhibition Space. From Saturday 27 June 2009 until June 2010, The Open Museum is proud to present a partnership exhibition with John M Blundall: Peddlers of Pleasure – Mr Punch and His International Cousins.

Past exhibitions – Lives in Motion
Have you ever stopped to think about the role transport plays in your life? This exhibition explores objects from Glasgow Museums' transport collections and tells the stories of how they affected people's lives.
This exhibition brings together a wide-ranging selection of abstract art. Some of the works on display echo reality, while others transcend it.

Nuremberg Connections – a Burrell Collection trail for all the Family
The city of Nuremberg (German name Nürnberg) has been twinned with Glasgow since 1985. A trail at the Burrell Collection commemorates the anniversary visit by the Mayor of Nuremberg to the Burrell Collection on 7 October 2005.
