The Kelvingrove
New Century Project
The Building Site
Although well maintained, the building is beginning to show its age. Many of the Victorian facilities are inadequate to deal with the needs of modern visitors.
Building work began in October 2003. Much of the Grade-A listed building is being protected and preserved while the heavy work progresses. The modern fittings and structures within the museum are being stripped out to reveal the Victorian architecture.
There are a number of major projects that go into the refurbishment of Kelvingrove. Some of them are featured here.More >>
