This Month's Memory
I am 65 now but all my childhood was marked by visits to the treasure chest of Kelvingrove Art Galleries almost every Sunday my pals and I would have our noses pressed against every case especially the cases which
carried a cryptic sign in the corner that said 'The Burrell Collection 'long before these wonderful items found their 'new home'.
My school Clydebank High School took us to the annual art competition for schoolchildren I was scared stiff but as fate would have it I won the Gold Medal for Art ! I of course still have that proud relic of my childhood [and it really IS GOLD]
Spurred on by that medal I went on to become a Television Graphic designer and loved that position for 25 years later I taught television graphic design for another 13 years and it was truly wonderful teaching enthusiastic young people now many of them working in present day TV - and it all started with that coveted medal. Many thanks for a life of
Inspiration.
