GoMA 16 - 25 project - with Scottish Refugee Council Youth Project
The Scottish Refugee Council Youth Project was established with money from the Diana Memorial Fund to help young refugees between the ages of 17 and 25 integrate into life in Glasgow. Working in partnership with other agencies, the Youth Project offers a range of services and activities such as sports sessions, computer classes and residential excursions outside the city.
The project
The participants were asked to look at the idea of the self-portrait using a range of art media. Using photography, clay, painting, drawing and printing the group has created a range of work using the self portrait as the starting point.
