Main entrance
The main entrance to the Museum of Transport is on Bunhouse Road. Wheelchair access is also on Bunhouse Road to the right of the stairs leading to the main entrance. Wheelchair users can also gain access to the museum by the entrance on Old Dumbarton Road, where there is an intercom system by the double gates.

Reception
The reception desk is opposite the doors from the main entrance.

Floor plans and gallery guide
Floor plans and gallery guides are available at reception.

Large print
Large print floor plans are available at reception. Large print versions of the Visit Glasgow Museums leaflet are available from reception.

Braille
Braille gallery guides are available from the reception desk.

Magnifiers
Magnifiers are available from the reception desk.

Induction loop
An induction loop is available, please ask at reception.

Parking
Pay and display parking available in front of the museum. Coach parking available in front of the museum.

Disabled parking
Fifteen designated disabled parking spaces are available to the front of the museum.

Wheelchair access
Wheelchair access to the museum is to the right of the main entrance on Bunhouse Road and also from the entrance on Old Dumbarton Road where there is an intercom system. The museum is fully accessible to wheelchair users. Two wheelchairs are available for visitors to borrow form reception.

Lifts
Lifts are available to all floors, they are located: one at main entrance, one at the Car Showroom to the right of the main entrance, an one at the café entrance. External call buttons are on the left of the lift doors, internal call buttons on the right of the lift doors.

Toilets
Toilets are located in the Car Showroom to the right of the main entrance; in the main hall to the right and behind the reception desk; and in the café, to the right of the counter area. Both male and female toilets are accessible to wheelchair users.

Disabled toilets
Accessible toilets are located within the Car Showroom to the right of the main entrance, and in the main hall to the right and behind the reception desk.

Café
The café is located to the far right of the main hall. The main hall is to the right and behind the reception desk. Highchairs are available. The café is fully accessible to wheelchair users.

Object handling
Some objects can be handled, and are marked with a green sticker.

British Sign Language
A member of staff may be available to communicate in British Sign Language. Please enquire at reception.

Shop
The shop is to the right of the man entrance.

Research facilities
Staff are available to assist with research enquiries. Please ask at reception.

Baby change
Baby changing facilities are available in the main hall to the right of the main entrance.

Breastfeeding
The Museum of Transport has received a Breastfeeding Welcome award from the NHS. A private space is available for breastfeeding. Please ask at reception. Find out more about breastfeeding in Scotland: www.breastfeed.scot.nhs.uk/.

Baby feeding
Hot water is available from the restaurant for heating milk and food for babies and young children.

Picnic area/packed lunch area
Tables and seating are available in the main hall for eating packed lunches.

Guided tours
Guided tours are available, and can be booked by telephoning 0141 287 2720.

Guide and assistance dogs
Guide and assistance dogs are welcome at the Museum of Transport. Water bowls are available from reception.

Personal and hand luggage
Left luggage facilities may be available on an informal basis, but this is dependent on circumstances. Please telephone the museum before your visit: 0141 287 2720.

Prams and buggies
There are no restrictions on the use of prams and buggies at the Museum of Transport, and the museum is fully accessible to prams and buggies.

Photography/drawing/video recording
A form to request permission to draw, photograph and make video recordings in Glasgow Museums stores and galleries for personal use is available from all our museums and must be completed before undertaking any of the above. Photography, without the use of tripods, is usually permitted. But due to the sensitive nature of many of our exhibits, and the possible damaging effects of flash photography, permission must be sought before hand.
